Tips on Kindness and Motivation Challenge Groups to Do A

Difference

They belong to a group that helps make a difference in people lives? Does your group struggle to find ways to help others? Tired of the same old Bake Sale-Car Wash routine?

Here are five ideas that your group can use to make a difference.

They come from the e-book,

Ways to change the world.

1. Organize a Group or Neighborhood Yard Sale and

contributes to a worthy cause. One neighborhood

adopted an orphanage in Thailand and worked together to send

thousands of dollars from the sale of their garage. In addition to

money they sent, neighbors became closer and new friendships

saru.

2. Organize a Homeless Shelter (or other group in need)

Hunting for Kenyans. You need a group of people - at most, the

better.

Call the Shelter or Homeless group and ask for a list of needs

Ask them to put the most things they need or take the least at the top of the list.

Assign point values for each item - with the most required items

getting the most point value.

Send everyone with their lists - let them know that the

team or person who creates the most points with what they bring

in, will win the contest.

Either put a reward on yourself or ask a local restaurant if they

will provide a free lunch to the winners.

Younger adults really enjoy the search for items and that's a

great lesson - it's fun to give to others!

3. You get a Toy Drive to a local Beaten Women's Shelter, Safe

Homeless Home or Shelter with children. Toys don’t have to

be new.

Let members go around their neighborhood

Ask each family to donate 'slow-moving' toys that their children do not make

use more. There will be tons - a great way to get kids involved

in the joy it gives!

4. If you play a sport, have your friends bring their old ones

equipment. Most of it will still be in good shape.

Make a donation to a team in a less fortunate part of town

Find a group abroad to receive the equipment for the teams inside

their own country

5. A group of 50 classmates went to their Community

Center.

They painted it, arranged the chairs, and basketball hoops.

They bought more balls and equipment with the money raised

from Rummage School and Bake Sale.

They repainted the lines on the courts and planted some

flowering plants in front.

A few dads repaired the Jungle Gym, slide and swings

outside back.

Then they are painted all the colors of the rainbow and the weed

a lot back.

They had a lot of fun and made a big difference at the same time!

And children have learned the value of caring for others.

Remember, your ability to make a difference depends on yours

an option to do so. It's that simple.  download a copy of the e-

book, “101 Ways to Change the World. Choose the ways

you want to make a difference and then MAKE THEM!
